About Us

Maria is a property specialist with extensive experience in both the public and private sectors. She is the founder of Nelumbo Property Consultants, a company that provides property consulting services.

She has worked in the property industry for over ten years, and her experience includes property valuations, property management, real estate, and project management. Maria is exposed in all facets of the property market with knowledge and skills in project development and management, as well as property strategies. Her additional skills include property administration, marketing, market research, problem solving, time management and report writing.

Maria has a Master of Science in Project Management from the University of Cape Town, as well as a Bachelor of Property Studies with Honors, a National Diploma in Land Valuation and Estate Management from the Polytechnic of Namibia, which is now known as the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST), an International Certificate Course in Property Valuation from the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme-MTCP, a Certificate from the Namibia Estate Agents Board, and An Introduction to Sectional Title Certificate.

Maria is passionate about mentoring and provides a Real Estate Mentorship Program for aspiring real estate agents as well as research mentoring for postgraduate and undergraduate students.

She is a member of the Programme Advisory Committee (PAC) for the revised Diploma in Property Studies Programme at Namibia University of Science and Technology, where she volunteers as a part-time Guest Lecturer.
